Adam Cornell Obituary

Adam D. Cornell, age 48 of West Dryden, NY passed away at home, unexpectedly of natural causes, on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

Born December 30, 1973 in Cortland, he was the son of David and Katherine Morse Cornell.  A 1992 graduate of Dryden High School, Adam was a union heavy equipment operator with IUOE local 158 of Syracuse, NY. He was a loving family man whose main goal was to make sure his daughter was happy all the time.

Adam is survived by his wife, Karen A. (Davis) Cornell; his daughter, Emerson Cornell; mother, Kathy Cornell (Ed McElroy); father, David Cornell (Susan); brother, Andrew “Norm” Cornell (Tess) and nephew, Briggs; his four legged kids, Bailey and Rugar; special uncles, James Virgadamo and Ron Cornell; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members. He was predeceased by his very special grandmother, Thelma Sweeney Morse; mother in law, Deborah Davis; brother in law, Brian Davis and is survived by his sister in law, Lisa Davis and nephew, Jordan. He was also predeceased by his four legged son, Tyson in November 2021.

There will be a time of visitation from 4-6 pm followed by a memorial service at 6 pm on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dryden Recreation Dept., 93 E. Main St., Dryden, NY 13053, for youth sports.
