Alexander C. Hauck

Alexander C. Hauck, age 92 of Virgil, NY passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at his home.

Born September 25, 1928 in Virgil, he was the son of the late George and Caroline Small Hauck and husband of the late Dorothy Spaulding Hauck and Harriett Wright Hauck. He was a 38 year employee of Agway in Cortland. He loved hunting, welding, camping and horses.

Al is survived by his companion of 48 years, Janice Stisser of Virgil; his daughter, Cheryl (Albert) Cryder of NC; grandchildren, Jason A. Cryder, Jillian E. Moore and Neal (Amy) Cryder; great grandchildren, Taylor Cryder, Travis Moore, Nathaniel Moore, Matilda Cryder and Remington Cryder; sisters, Shirley Morse and Phyllis Hauck; Janice’s children, Thomas (Allison) Stisser and Bonni (Paul) O’Neil;  her grandchildren, David (Ashley) O’Neil, Katie (Greg) Mesagna, Ryan O’Neil and Rachel Stisser; her great granddaughter, Isabella Mesagna. In addition, he was predeceased by brothers, Eugene and George Hauck and sisters, Elizabeth Dunn, Barbara Mott and Carolyn Hauck.  The family would like to give special thanks to his longtime caregivers, Helen Clark Conger and Jason Conger.

Friends are invited to call from 10-11 am, Monday, May 10, 2021 followed by a funeral service at 11 am at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. Burial will be in Virgil Rural Cemetery.
