Lois Piech Obituary

Lois Jean Piech (Wesche), age 73 of 120 Sykes St., Groton, NY passed away Friday, January 29, 2021 at Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY surrounded by her family. 

Born May 29, 1947 in Wellsville, NY she was the daughter of the late Beaumont and Beaulah Johnson Wesche and wife of the late Robert Bruce Piech who passed in December 2012.  Lois was employed with Cayuga Medical Center for over 35 years prior to her retirement.  Lois loved her employment at Cayuga Medical Center and built lasting relationships with everyone she met.

Lois was known for her love of all seasons and to see the beauty in all things.  Lois loved animals, her friends, and her grandchildren.  Lois is remembered for her compassion and understanding for others, her kindhearted humorous approach with friends and strangers alike.  Lois enjoyed spending time with others, watching crime and nature TV, reading, and spending time with family.

Lois is survived by her children, Tracey Wesche of Cortland, NY, Bruce Piech of New Berlin, NY, twin daughters, Darleen Piech and Doreen Wagner of Dryden, NY, and ten grandchildren.

Private burial will be at the Lake View Cemetery, Ithaca, NY where Lois will rest with her late husband.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Groton Community Health Care Center.
