Marsha A. Waters

Marsha A. Waters, age 60 of Freeville, NY passed away Friday, April 28, 2023.

Born June 17, 1962 in Elmira, NY she was the daughter of the late Leroy F. Inscoe and Eleanor Kelly Stickane. First and foremost, she was a Caregiver to anyone in need, especially her friends at Unity House, who were very special to her. She had a very quirky sense of humor and was a shopaholic, using shopping as a form of therapy.

Marsha is survived by her partner, Javon Waters of Freeville, NY; daughters, Gina Eastman (Jason) of Lansing, NY and Stephanie Lockwood (Jethro) of Dryden, NY; sisters, Margaret Campbell (Theodore) of Ovid, NY and Kathryn VanZile (Melvin) of Freeville, NY; brother, Howard Ward (Christine) of Ovid, NY; grandchildren, Ronald Eastman, Gianna Shepardson, Vallerie Lockwood, Justin Lockwood and Emma Shepardson; great nephew, with which she had a special bond, Lakota Riker; father of her children, Jack Eastman (Joyce) of Newfield, NY; mother in law, Vicky Kennedy; step mother in law, Kathy Gleason; brother in law, Twain Waters (Ebony Scott); special friends, Don Carrier and Heather Camacho; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.  In addition to her parents, Marsha is predeceased by her brother, Edgar Ward; niece, Jodi Crowley; father in law, Anthony Waters and her fur babies, Marvon and Harley.

Family and friends are invited to call from 1-2 pm followed by a service at 2 pm on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden. Pastor Scott Moseley will officiate. The family wishes to extend a very special “thank you” to all the first responders for all their help.
