Michael Kenney Hickerson
Obituary
Michael Kenney Hickerson passed away on July 9, 2023. His death follows an extended illness, and he will be greatly missed by many. Michael was born on August 22, 1988, in Ithaca, New York. He is survived by his father, Tom Hickerson, and his brothers, Greg Hickerson and Tim Hickerson, and many aunts, uncles, and other family members.
Michael was an intelligent, articulate, athletic, and socially caring individual. He grew up in Ithaca, but he also lived in several other places, including attending college and serving as a program manager at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina. After the passing of his mother, Anne Kenney, in 2022, Michael moved back to Ithaca, where he has been a student at Ithaca College, and worked at Simeon’s Restaurant.
No local service is planned. Individuals are encouraged to share condolences and memories at perkinsfh.com. Those who would like to make a gift in Michael’s honor are encouraged to donate to the SPCA or their local animal shelter, as animals were a constant presence in Michael’s life.
