Oscar Harrell Obituary

Oscar C. Harrell, 89, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Cayuga
Ridge Nursing Home. He was born on July 17, 1934 in Wythe County, Virginia.

Oscar enlisted in the United States Army on April 27, 1953.

He was happily employed by the Park family including Roy H. Sr, Dorothy and
The Park Foundation for the majority of his life.

Oscar’s passion was in hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He was most
happy being surrounded by family working at home, mowing his lawn with his
favorite red tractor with his wife Nancy close at hand.

Oscar was a loving, caring husband, father, brother and grandfather. Oscar leaves
behind his loving wife of 64 years, Nancy. His four children; daughter, Lorenda
(Bobby) Gneo; sons, Scott (Karen) Harrell, Randy (Paula) Harrell and Eric
Harrell of Greenville, SC. Grandchildren, Vincent (Brenna) and Madison Gneo;
Matthew, Nicole, Natalie and Hayley Harrell; Lorenda, Lindsey and Noah
Harrell; Alissa and Ryan Harrell. Two great grandchildren, Riley and Leo.

Oscar is also survived by his brother, Jackie (Barbara) Spence and his sister
Ruby Gradle.

Oscar was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ciara Gneo.

The family would like to thank all those who cared for and helped Oscar.

A celebration of life will be planned for the summer.
